well well well

August 19, 2008

Well well well my friends, The Knockout Blow has blown and gone. If you saw it I’ll bet it knocked you out. Get it? Har har.

Really though, the show was a huge hit. And I’m not just saying that cause I’m the press gal–promise! We’re hoping it can be remounted (get your mind out of the gutter!) or go on tour in the future…

Meantime, here were some reactions: (anonymous, of course, to protect our audience’s privacy)

-Those were some great dance moves–loved the butt lift.
-The singing was stellar, that Eskimo has pipes. Who wrote the music?
-The set rivals Peter Ksander’s…those lights–stunning.
-The Icelandic accent was dead on. I would know, I’m from Norway!
-The gold band under the werewolf’s costume was such a temptation…

Someone once told me: avant-garde art if like brushing your teeth. Doing it is ok, but the sensation afterwards is pretty good. Here are some pics to leave you feeling minty fresh:

Next up at the same space is a very different kind of theatre…not quite half straddle. More of a high beam:

Anyhoo, I’m off to the seaside this weekend…got to root toot it out of this big apple!
